What worries me is that the cars involved in the incident are still supposedly impounded; however, in this picture, you can see a widebody 135i. What’s so significant about this?
Well, this is significant because during the period in which the cars were impounded, I have seen a silver widebody 135i at a Cars and Coffee not too far from Orange/Tustin. Does this mean that it was one of the officers or the son driving? Now, the car I saw had a silver front bumper and the car pictured has either no front bumper or a black one, but I doubt that there are many other widebody 135is in Orange County. Apologies for not having a picture, it left Cars and Coffee before I could get one.
In addition, I should have known that something was up, because I saw that lime green GT-R at a supercar show on February 6th...the first round of impounding was on February 11th, and I never saw the GT-R at the show again.
Here is the GT-R in question...

Dammit I’ve been Kinja’d. This was the lead picture that I was referring to.

The one time I post a serious article, this happens.
Such is the way of Kinja.

So many 1 series in that impound lot pic on the main page. I drive the base 128i and I am really surprised I haven’t gotten into trouble yet. I couldn’t imagine having another 70 hp before tuning.

I don’t have one. I’ll try and see if anyone else got a shot of it.

Lime green GTR with black wing? Doesn’t have the “5150 Racing” stickers though.
Video was shot in Malibu. Although being Southern California there might be dozens on lime green GTRs.

That’s true. I was doing some spying around on social media and the owner of the 5150 Racing GT-R has his car. Might be a different one.
